Meet Judy Hunter, Founder & Principal HR Consultant
Judy Hunter is a dedicated HR professional with 30 years of experience supporting organizations across healthcare, manufacturing, shared services, nonprofits, and professional services. She has led HR at the director level and provided hands-on support in employee relations, recruitment and selection, onboarding, performance management, compliance, and leadership development. She has a particular passion for designing and delivering training that helps managers and employees grow with confidence.
She was drawn to Human Resources through a genuine love for people. Judy truly enjoys getting to know individuals and takes pride in helping them grow and succeed. At the same time, she thrives on bringing clarity and structure to organizations—developing policies, improving processes, and guiding managers through the HR challenges that can hold teams back. HR has proven to be a natural fit, allowing her to combine her care for people with strong attention to detail in ways that benefit both employees and the businesses they support.
Judy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and a graduate certificate in HR Law from the University of Pittsburgh. This combination of formal education and real-world leadership experience equips her to support employers with both practical solutions and a solid understanding of the legal landscape.
After relocating to West Plains, Missouri, Judy recognized a need for accessible, reliable HR consulting for local employers. With her experience and a desire to serve her community, she founded Hunter HR Solutions. She is passionate about partnering with businesses of all sizes, including small businesses and nonprofits, meeting them where they are, and providing flexible, practical, people-centered HR support tailored to their needs.
